We had a very fun photo shoot in the Sweetfern's studio! Shannon Grant of Shannon Grant photography came by and I had so much fun setting up vignettes for her to photograph. I just love the way she captures my work! Cups to sip comfy from:)
I had the opportunity to go to a tea party that my friend hosted. All the ladies decorated and wore a hat! I did mine with cream silk roses, peacock sword feathers and delicate blush pink and cream silk ribbon roses. It was grand fun!
Weddings are just not what they used to be. To go back to a simpler time would just be dreamy. Don't you agree??? Oh if I could, I would....

And this, our life, exempt from pubic haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything. William Shakespeare
There is just a warm reminder of my childhood when I see a tea cup. My mother served it often and they bring me back to a simpler time. I love to incorporate them any way I can. The mounted tea cup on a whitewashed barn plank and the tea cup wreath were featured in Dovetales magazine. I was one of the magazine creative team, along with my sweet friend Jo-Anne Colletti of Vintage Rose Collections who put together a tea party in Jo-Anne's dreamy dining room. These items can also be purchased through Sweetferns. Contact sweetferns@aol.com for further information.
A variety of styles and flower choice is available my sweets for custom made wreaths. Shells, roses, hydrangeas, Oh my the choice is yours. For further information send inquiry to sweetferns@aol.com
Not sure if you are aware of the vibrational energy of flowers. Well we are all made of energy including flowers, they have the ability to alter our mood and increase our energy levels. If you have the opportunity, play with the flowers! The photo shows the vibrational energy of a flower. The photo was taken by a friend Kendra Bond.
I am hoping my friends to have this be a space you can come to, to be inspired with a creative project, a party table set up or perhaps be able to purchase something lush and lovely for yourself! The pots are stacked by the back door to hold some sweet seedlings soon.
I am the owner of Sweetferns,
an evolving floral design business with a unique focus on natural materials and ways. Enhancing romantic, nostalgic and personal items. This is the foundation for creating unforgetable events. I love to incorporate vintage jewelry and romantic finds into my work. I have a passion for setting the scene for photo shoots for magazines. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to fullfill a dream and be a feature editor and a designer for a local magazine. I love to create and be an inspiration to others to tap into their creativity! Some of the work that is created and sold at Sweetferns a portion of the proceeds is utilized in helping women of abuse and recovering from illness.
